Feeling a Little Sentimental

  • July 26 was the day that Tanner and I had our first date. It was 2 years ago??!! That just seems too unreal to me! On Aberdeen Daze a memory came back to my mind. To this day my {awesome} sister-in-law Rebecca never fails to tell me that she had a major part in Tanner and I getting together. On Aberdeen Daze {June 2008} I was in at the breakfast with Braden and his family. They had four kids so the three of us adults had plates and rebecca was pushing the stroller. As she was struggling to get to the table, a very nice young man got out of his seat took the plates from her hand and took them to the table for her. Yes, that nice young man was Tanner. When she sat down to the table she look right at me and said "YOU HAVE TO MARRY THAT BOY!" I guess since she said it it had to happen. About a month later we had our first date and the rest is history =D I cannot believe that I have spent 2 years with the most amazing man. I could not imagine spending my life with anyone else. Some things I love about Tanner...

  • He has the most contagious smile. {I melt every time he smiles at me}

  • He can make me laugh in a second. {he has the greatest sense of humor}

  • He called me "Krys" right away. {It takes some people a long time to call me Krys, he fell right into it}

  • He is one of the hardest working people I know. {he's had to work for everything he has and it has made him a very strong person}

  • He has been through so much in his life, but he never fails to be optimistic.

  • He always tells me he loves me when we hang up on the phone. {Even if we have talked to each other 20 times that day=D}

  • He always kisses me goodnight!

  • He has a strong testimony of Jesus Christ. {he helps to keep me on track in my life. He always makes sure that we have scriptures and prayer and makes sure that we are obeying the Lord's commandments as a couple}

  • He loves me for me! {He always tells me that my personality and smile caught him immediately. He never fails to tell me that he has never met anyone like me and I can say the same for me. He is the most amazing person I know.}

I am so grateful that my Heavenly Father brought Tanner into my life and I am so grateful that I get to spend this life and eternity with him. I cannot imagine spending eternity any other way. I love Tanner with all of my heart! I love and cherish everyday that I get to spend with him!

Catching up

We have had a lot going on this summer. Before it was officially summer we talked about how nice it will be to just go for walks every night, go camping(maybe), hang out with friends and family and be lazy. Well...that changed very quickly. I totally forgot that I would be in school all summer long. Even though I only took 2 classes it consumed a lot of my time along with working. We had family reunions, wedding receptions and work, work, work. Last year it was hard to adjust to the farm because we were newly married and now I LOVE IT! I calling Tanner up and hearing that he is in the tractor or he is doing potato samples or even fixing pivots. He loves what he does and that makes me so happy. I told him right from the start I would never care what his job was as long as he is happy. Our first big adventure this summer was welcoming a new member to our family...Taz. He is an Olde English Bulldog. Tanner LOVES dogs. He has wanted one ever since we got married. Infact after we had been married a month he tried to talk to me into a hound dog. This time I caved, but I am glad I did. This little guy can melt my heart. We traveled all the way to Lehi, UT to get him and he was worth the trip. He is so lazy, which we LOVE. He just comes and lays on our laps and falls asleep. He is still in the biting stage, so we are working on that for now, but we are in love with him already!
I have so many photos from the summer to share so I thought I would share one of my favorites. This was taken at my family reunion up in Island Park. My mom decided to have an activity for the grandkids. Devonee and I kind of gave her a hard time, because it was the 4th of July and she had them dress as pioneers. She explained to us that it was in the same month as we celebrate the pioneers so she had a good reason. (I LOVE MY MOM!) I just thought this picture was priceless. My mom also dressed up and her and my dad took the kids on a short "trek" around the area. They loved it of course. I love how my mom is always thinking of ways to teach her grandkids in such creative ways and they enjoy every minute of it. I love summer time because it means family, friends and the SUN! We have had a great time so far and still have lots more to look forward to before the summer ends.
