We finally got all moved in! Just in time for DYW to be starting and for Tanner's planting season to being. Yeah we aren't busy at all ;) Of course I didn't get any pictures. We are still settling in. I don't have any pictures on the wall, which is the saddest part for me. Hopefully I will be able to get to that soon.
We were actually able to get all of the moving done in just two trips. About a month ago I started organizing things and was writing room names on boxes, so when we moved we could just put them all in the rooms they went and I could get to them as I went from room to room. I had the office and other non essentials packed up so a couple of weeks ago Tanner's dad and our friend Travis Pincock came and took the whole basement over. That was a nice relief. So when it came down to the final day we were able to get everything moved over on a Friday night with the help of Tanner's parents and a couple guys from the farm.
It feels nice to be in a home that we know that we are going to be in for the rest of our lives. People keep asking me, "Is it weird living in the house you grew up in?" Of course its not. It's my home. You know the expression, "It feels like coming home." Well I have and it feels great! We did enough remodeling to truly make it feel our own and I think that is what helps a lot. I had so many great memories growing up in this home and it is so fun to think about my kids running around that same yard and adding to the memories. I had so many Christmas' in this home and I will continue to share that with my family as it grows. Something that is also kind of neat and funny. Tanner and I had our first kiss on the front steps of this house and he asked my dad if he could marry me in the office of this home. So for me I once again feel right at home, surrounded by memories of love and pure joy :) I can't wait to see what life continues to bring us!
