"Any man can be a father. It takes someone special to be a dad."

Tanner celebrated his first Father's Day as an actual father! I am so grateful for him. It truly brings such joy to me heart watching him become a dad. He is great with Breckyn! She lights up when he comes through the door at the end of the day. I always knew he would be such a great father, but seeing it with my own eyes has truly been something special. I just wanted him to know that he means the world to me and Breckyn and we would not trade him for anything!
I also am very lucky to have my own father for my dad. He has taught me so much through the years. Not only with his words but through his actions. He has always lived his life in line with the gospel and pray every day that I can raise my family as good as he has raised me nd my siblings.
I could not foget my father-in-law Karl. He is a great man as well. He is always so willing to help us with whatever we need and is always there to support us. We honestly don't know what we would do without him. He is a great man! Happy Father's Day!

7 Months!!

Breckyn turned 7 months on the 7th! Isn't  it crazy how the time just keeps flying by. She gets more and more fun each day as that sweet personality of hers keeps coming out every day.
This past months milestones...
  • If we lay her on the floor she will drink from her sippy cup on her own.
  • The past week she has been getting up on her knees on rocking back and forth...crawling is definitely not far away.
  • She has deifnitely become an explorer. When we lay her on the floor she just starts to roll to where ever she wants to go. {We need to get electrical plug in covers}
  • She is the craziest sleeping and has started to pull down her bumpers, so we had to move her crib down...
  • She now takes 2 naps a day and some mornings I get lucky and she will sleep in till 8:30 or 9! Those are good days for mom ;)
This girl definitely keeps us on her toes and we love it! Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the past month...
In the top picture you can see her feet hanging out of teh crib rails...we don't know how she gets herself into these situations?!

 We love this little girl!

Summer is Here! {or was}

Despite the cold 60 degree weather that we had today (weird!). We had a glimpse of summer for about a week and I was loving it and so was Breckyn. I kind of forgot how outside really is a whole new world for her. She has been inside all of these months and now that we are able to go outside and sit on the grass she just takes in everything around her. I have heard of some babies hating the feeling of grass, but she doesn't mind it at all. She just plays with it. She will just keep turning her head and looking around her, taking in her new surroundings.
I took her outside one night and waited for Tanner to get home. Despite the frown, she really did love it. I just didn't get a chance to capture her smiles :)
I snapped this last week when Tanner was mowing the lawn. She loved the sound of the mower and was loving the sunshine! All day today I was wondering where it all went??

3 {Amazing} Years

Tanner and I celebrated our 3rd Anniversary on the 29th! I can't believe it's been three years and yet it seems like I can't remember what life was like without him almost. It is also so crazy to think that last year we didn't have Breckyn. I have the funniest memory of our anniversary last year. Tanner and I were talking about our second year together and Tanner says, "I think we faught more this year." I kind of laughed and my response was, " I just wasn't scared to share my opinion this year." He just laughed right back. I think after that first year you are kind of over the polite "I'll give in and let him win this time." I was ready to win some arguments the second year :) But I have to say those arguments are rare and don't last very long because he'll just say something to make me laugh and it's all over. I love him so much and I am so grateful for all that he does for me. I honestly do not know what I would do without him. I am so grateful for all he does for our family and his hard work. He tries so hard to make things easy for me and always lets me know how special I am! I sure do love this guy! I don't know how I got so lucky!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great holiday weekend. Heather let me know on Thursday that they would be coming up on Friday. That was a great surprise! So Saturday I spent the whole day at my mom's hanging out with my family. It was great! Riley is pretty much a hoot and a half. He is in the potty training process and when he would have an accident he would just look at Heather with those big puppy dog eyes and say, "I'm so sorry mommy." How can you get mad at that? It was also so much fun to get Gracie and Breckyn together. It is so fun to see them grow and change and see those sweet personalities come through. Aren't these girls the cutest?!

Sunday we were able to just relax and it was so nice! Breckyn always seems to nap so good on Sundays and I love it because that means I get a great nap as well! Bridger came out and hung out with us. Breckyn LOVES him! It is really sweet to see her light up when he walks through the door and Bridger is so good with her. I snatched this picture of them during a game of XBOX. I think Breckyn was getting sick of it because she would drop her rattle by Bridger and just look at him until he would pick it up :)
Memorial Day has always been one of my faovrite days. My parents instilled the importance of it in me at a young age. We would always go to the cemetary and see the program that the veterans put on in the morning. We would walk around to my Great-Grandparents grave sites pay our respects. THis year it even took on a stronger meaning for me. Breckyn Fay is named after two amazing women and as we visited them I could not help but feel over come with great emotion and love.

We had a BBQ that afternoon with my family and I snapped this sweet picture of my mom and Breckyn. We love Grandma Dayna!
