{Just Like Old Times}

First of all I need to say...I LOVE these girls! I've grown up with them and they are two of my all time favorite people. After high school we of course have gone our seperate ways but we have remained close and I am so glad! We were able to get together one night this week and I laughed...and laughed...and laughed. I love reminising about the "good ol' days" and remembering all of the fun times we had. It really felt like we were back in high school again. Trynda and Tara are always there for me. I am so grateful that I have them in my life. I am truly blessed to have amazing friends.

I just have a funny side note story. Our senior year we were in our school's production of Beauty & the Beast. Trynda played Mrs. Potts and was so good at her part. Well, we were eating at Chili's the other night and I said "Tryn, you know what song reminds me of you?" She replied with "Please don't tell me that it is Tale As Old As Time..." I busted up laughing because I remembered seeing her in her tea pot costume and that was not the song I was thinking of, ha ha! I love my friends :)

Driscoll Family Bowling

About twice a year my family gets together for a fun filled day of bowling. I, personally, am NOT the best bowler but everyone else in my family can really hold their own. We definitely missed Heather, Tyler & Devonee, but they were their in spirit :)

getting started

Fries are a given any time we go bowling. My dad always makes sure of this. The kids always make sure that they get eaten :) I was surprised at the end of the game he said maybe he shouldn't eat so many fries because the ball began slipping out of his hand :)All the girls love Uncle Tanner :)

And for the main event...my dad got 6 STRIKES IN A ROW!!! bringing his total score to 224. Pretty impressive. When Tanner and I were dating I told him that my dad was an amazing bowler. And I am pretty sure that he thought I was over exaggerating, but then he was able to witness it for himself. After this game my dad kept telling us that he needs to get his own ball and it needs to be custom made to fit his fingers, ha ha! I was pretty proud of myself as well. If you can see that 109 on the score board...that is my all time high :) I was coming off a game of more than half gutter balls, so I was pretty happy. Can't wait for the next bowling day with the Driscoll Fam!

2 years ago on Valentine's Day...

It is crazy to believe that 2 years ago this amazing guy decided to ask me to marry him. I am so glad that I said yes. It definitely is the best decision that I have ever made. It makes me laught to think back on the week leading up to that day. I kind of had a feeling that he would be popping the question soon, so I told me friend Rachel that I thought Tanner would propose on V-day. She quickly went on the defensive and asked me why I thought that and I shouldn't get my hopes up(She kind of made it obvious right there). She went and told Tanner that I was suspicious, so later that day Tanner told me that he wasn't going to propose and he didn't want me to feel bad when he didn't propose that coming Saturday. I felt pretty pathetic after that, but I still had a feeling that I was right.

I blew it all off and Valentine's rolled around and I had forgotten about the whole thing. He picked me up and we heading to Idaho Falls for dinner. He said that he needed to stop at his house and get my gift. He ran into the bathroom and later told me he had to do this because he was so nervous! He took me into the living room and there were a dozen roses and his computer. He played me a movie with our song and pictures of us. The very last picture was him holding the ring and it said "Will you marry me?"

We kind of had a funny experience that night. I had been sick that week and Tanner was starting too get sick. I had taken Suffedrin and it worked like a charm, so I just gave Tanner 2 of them. It didn't have a very good affect on him. I had to drive home, becuse they practically knocked Tanner out. He tried to come in and talk to my parents but he was so out of it he could hardly carry on a conversation. It was a pretty eventful night.

I am so grateful that my Heavenly Father gave me this man in my life. He means the world to me. He is always looking for something he can do for me. I was very sick last week and Tanner came home and surprised me with my new favorite movie, "Life As We Know It." He handed me the movie and said that it was my "get well" gift. He is always thinking of me :) I love this man! He can always make me laugh, even when I am trying very hard to be mad at him. We didn't go out for Valentine's because I am still on the mend, but I came home to a house that was vacummed, dish washed emptied and loaded, and the laundry folded and out away. It doesn't sound like much, but it definitely made my Valentine's Day :) I love you Tanner!

Quick Couples Getaway

On Saturday we headed down to Provo for a quick (but much needed) getaway with a few of our friends. We left early in the morning and drove down to Provo. The girls hit the mall for a few hours and the boys went to some exhibit at BYU. Then we all headed over to the Marriott Center to watch teh Cougars take on the Utes. I was pretty excited to see Jimmer perform in person, but it took him a little while to get going. It was impressive to see him go from 8 points in the first half to ending with 23 overall. The game was a lot of fun and Tanner and I are definitely looking forward to making the trip for another game and hoping to even get in a football game this year :) We ended off the night with a delicious dinner at Olive Garden. Devonee was so sweet and dropped off some yummy Valentine's goodies for us (chocolate dipped oreos). Thank you Dev!

Even though it was a short trip it was a lot of fun! Sometimes you just have to get away from it all, even it if it just for a day. It is so nice to have great friends to get away with once in a while. Even though Tanner and I still feel like youngins when we are with them, since they all have kids and we are still empty at home :), we share a lot of laughs and always have a great time!

Do you think he's a packer fan?? My mom sent me this picture and I had to post it. My dad is a packer fan through and through, so we was a little excited when they pulled out a Super bowl win. He wore this jacket every day last week. The Packers fit him very well since they hold the colors of his favorite tractors (John Deere). My dad will tell you that he bleeds green and yellow. I just had to post this picture. It is one of my favorite of my dad!
