Merry Christmas!

I love this time of year and the time we get to reflect on the birth of our Savior and Redeemer. With all of the hustle and bustle of the season I really tried to find those moments to focus on the Savior and they truly do make a difference in the season. We had quite the week of festivities. My family wouldn't al be together on Christmas, so the Sunday before we got together at my mom's. ( with Braden's family and Dev's family). We enjoyed a delicious dinner ( as always) and then we enjoyed the nativity. I love watching the kids get dressed up. Lucky for all of the dad's in attendance we were in need of someone wisemen :) I took a video but no pictures darn it! Breckyn was an angel and got to follow Halle around, which she loved! Then of course at the end of the night we all opened presents. My mom spoiled all of us girls with Bosch mixers!
Tanner did get this picture of me playing the violin at my parents Sunday night. My mom always has us do our annual family talent show :)

Christmas Eve we went to Tanner's parents home. It was great and low key and easy. We enjoyed Papa Murphy's pizza! After dinner Tanner and I introduced them all to the Best Christmas Pageant Ever. It was a hit :) We watched the Nativity and that is always so special! Grandma and Grandpa Vollmer got all of the Grandkids these awesome upholstered chairs just their size. They were in love.
Christmas morning was great! Breckyn didn't want to get up, just like last year, but once she saw her toys she was fine. We had my parents over for Breakfast so we enjoyed some of the day with them. We went over to Aunt Jan and Uncle Brad's for dinner and it was AMAZING! Breckyn loved playing all day with EJ and Emily! We were definitely tired by the time we got home but we had sure enjoyed a great Christmas day!

Best Uncle Ever!

We watched Isaac and Hannah the other night while Braden and Rebecca were out. Hannah was so tired and would not go to bed for me, but Uncle Tanner must have the magic touch...

Bath Time and my Birthday!

I love bath time pictures! I have always felt that they are some of the sweetest memories. This girl loves baths and I am so grateful. I can put her in and hurry and run around and clean the other bathrooms or whatever needs done. She will stay in there for an hour. Sometimes I go in and refill the tub with warm water :)
I don't usually post pictures of myself but I got these cute leggings in the mail from my sister Heather for my birthday. I love them! Tanner took me out for my birthday while my parents watched breckyn. We had to stop at Costco and Winco for some groceries. You know you're getting old when your birthday date entails grocery shopping. We ended the night with a delicious dinner at the Sandpiper! It was a great birthday! 24 is going to be great!

Let the Season Begin!

You know its Christmas in Aberdeen when the street lights go up and the first Monday in December we have the Light Parade! There were some surprisingly good floats this year that made getting out in the cold worth it :) Then we go to the fire station to see Santa. Breckyn was less than thrilled...

I do know that every kid has to have a picture like this, so it definitely makes me laugh!

Thanksgiving in Beautiful St. George

We had a great time in St. George with my family for Thanksgiving. Eric and Victoria were able to make the trip so we were all together! It was great. We have definitely grown so we were spread out. Tanner and I stayed with Devonee and her family in a rented Condo. It was so nice. It was all one floor and had a great floor plan. We were on the first floor so right out the kitchen sliding door was a little play set. It was great. Braden's family stayed in my Grandpa Dan's condo, While Heather stayed across the hall in my Uncle Kirk's. My parents stayed in my Grandparents house along with Eric's family. These were all really close so it made it extra nice.
The day before Thanksgiving we were finally all there and we took the kids to this awesome park. It was kind of down in a hole, so you never had to worry about kids running in front of cars.

These two are HILARIOUS together! They LOVED being outside!
We had dinner at our grandparents house. The kids played outside ALL day. I don't think Brecykn ate anything till 4 (Great mom I know-she was too preoccupied to know she was hungry). After dinner we noticed that all the girls were wearing boots so of course we had to get a picture :) Breckyn had such a struggle getting to bed all week. At 10pm we finally decided to put her in the car (like the old days and drive around) We ended up at Mc D's. It was definitely interesting going to there on Thanksgiving, but it did the trick. She was out like a light!
Friday morning we had family pictures. It was cold and breckyn was definitely less than pleasant. It was quite a struggle. But my dad snapped this great picture of my mom and her girls :)
Naps were definitely hard to come by this past week. Breckyn would NOT sleep in her pack n play so she got to sleep with me and tanner. Good this it was a king bed. We went out and grabbed lunch after pictures and she finally fell asleep on the way back to the condo when no cousins were around. We took advantage of the opportunity and took a nap ourselves :) That afternoon we all went and enjoyed Frozen! What a great show. Breckyn was mesmerized and sat through the whole thing!
We all went out to eat at the yummy Brick Oven that night then just went back to the condo and relaxed.
Best family picture we got all week...

She did not want to wake up on Sunday morning...look at the bedhead!

We had an AWESOME TIME! We can't wait to go back. We love that place!

A little bit of November

We haven't been up to anything too exciting this month...yet! We are looking forward to Thanksgiving in St. George! Here are just a couple pictures I got of Breckyn this month...

I love sleeping pictures. My dad would always take pictures of us like this, so I guess that is why I continue to take several of Breckyn like this :)

Our Girl is 2!

I cannot believe that Miss Breckyn Fay is already 2. It is amazing how fast they grow. I have no idea where my baby has gone. I am determined to try and make a cake every year just like my mom did. I am not a baker so this is definitely a struggle. Last year I tried and failed miserably. I have been haunted by that but I had to try again. Everything went ok in the baking process but I am still not the master froster that my mom is. I wanted to give Breckyn a Minnie Mouse themed birthday and I had seen this idea to frost the cake pink and put white polka dots on it to look like her dress. My mom made it a reality and it came out great!
We had a full house that night and of course I didn't get pictures of everyone. We had Grandma and Grandpa Driscoll, Grandma and Grandpa Vollmer and Uncle Bridger. Uncle Kasyn and Aunt Alesia along with cousins Paislie and Quade, and Grandma Glayda and Howard. She received lots of fun gifts a new baby doll from her cousins, an Ariel Barbie from Grandma and Grandpa Vollmer, a Minnie Mouse ball from Grandma Glayda, a Disney princess book from Grandma Dayna that came with cute little princesses to play with. Tanner and I gave her the Little People Little Mermaid carriage that goes with her princess castle.
It had been a long day...I think the phrase that comes to mind is, "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to."

Fall is here!

I love this time of year. I know I have said that before but it is the truth :) October is flying by and we have definitely had some Idaho weather. At the beginning of the month we had quite the cold spell but yesterday it was so nice that I was able to send Breckyn outside without a coat.
I snapped the picture below while we were riding with Tanner the other day. It cracks me up!
Our crazy girl also enjoys other adventures such as...dunking her head in the toilet...seriously?

Happy 18th Birthday Bridger and What a Win! {Friday Night Lights Cont.}

This awesome kid turned 18 yesterday and they won their homecoming game! What an awesome present, right?!  We love this kid. He comes out to visit it us on a lot of summer nights and when school starts we look forward to his visits on Sunday nights. Breckyn adores him! It is so great to know that she will always have her Uncle Bridger looking out for her :) We can't believe that he is 18, a senior and will be going on a mission soon. I am so excited for him to take that next step but we will definitely miss him over those 2 years.
It was freezing that night to say the least. My poor, poor fingers!
One Proud Father

Tanner is not shy to say how proud he is of Bridger. He is hard on him at times but only because he knows what he is capable of. One thing that struck me about Tanner first was that he always let Bridger come along with us. This was so different from me. My brothers and sisters hated it when I had to come along. But I never minded having him along either. It is so weird to think that he was going into 7th grade when we started dating...Time sure does fly!
Favorite picture from the night! Awesome game Bridge and...
HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY!
PS- Have fun at the dance tonight :)

Harvest Time is in Full Swing

Breckyn and I like to go out and ride with Tanner if we get a chance. My dad snapped this picture of us and I love it. My dad never waits for anyone to be ready but it turned out pretty cute :) I love the smell of harvest. The freshly turned dirt and the dug potatoes...oohhh I just LOVE it! I'm so glad that I live in this wonderful place and get to experience harvest time. It is one of my favorite times of the year. I bet you don't hear many farmer's wives say that ;)

Just a quick picture

I snapped this picture yesterday in Country Kitchen while we were picking up lunch for my dad and Tanner. She was all over the place but after I took it I could not believe now grown up she is starting to look. Where is my baby?

Little Mother

This girl keeps cracking me up. This morning I was cleaning the kitchen and I heard he saying poopy over and over again. I assumed that she meant her and she wanted me to change her. I turned around and I saw this. She was referring to her baby :) It is amazing the information that kids soak up and the little copy cats they become.

Friday Night Lights

Football season is here and we could not be more excited about it. We are looking forward to watching Uncle Bridger tear it up for the rest of the season. Let's go Tigers! They won their first game against American Falls last night. So excited for this kid. He is great and Breckyn adores him!

Dev's Bridal Shower

Isn't she the cutest bride ever? We threw Dev a shower right after we got back from Island Park. Like I said before, this is a short engagement which means lots of work in a very short period of time. Rebecca took this picture of her and I thought it was too cute not to share ;)
These two crazy girls were having fun tearing through Grandma Dayna's pantry while their mom's were distracted during the party. Good thing they are cute and can get away with it :)

Island Park Driscoll Reunion

Again I need to get better at taking pictures. We went up to Island Park this weekend with my family and had a great time. We missed Eric and Vic. We hate that Arizona is so far away :(  Once again my parents were so nice and watched the kids one night while the adults and some of the older kids went to the Playmill Theater and saw 7 Brides for 7 Brothers. It was so cute!
Breckyn definitely enjoyed being outside and all the time she got to spend with her cousins. I look forward to this weekend every year. We always have a blast!

Pioneer Days

We really didn't do too much on Pioneer Days this year. We went to the parade and Breckyn loved it. It was so fun to see her get excited about all the candy being thrown. Then we spent a little bit of time and the park and got something to eat. Of course our priority nowadays is making sure Breckyn gets a nap. So we went home and we all got a nap. Which was great!! I love this sweet family of mine. I honestly do not know where I would be without them.
