5 Random Facts

I had seen this on a friends blog where she posted 5 random facts about herself and I thought it was really fun! So I decided to do it about me and Tanner. (The picture below is of us while we were dating. It is one of my favorites)

Tanner Dee
1. He has crooked pinkies. When breckyn was born that was one of the first things he looks for :) she doesn't have them
2. He doesn't cook much but he can make fried chicken and it is DELICIOUS!
3. he wishes that we lived on the last frontier...wish I was joking.
4. He LOVES to farm and work with Cows
5. He is afraid of basements...no joke

Krystle Michelle
1: I have a irrational fear of bugs(particularly moths) crawling in my ears when I sleep. I blame dev. She once told me about one of her teachers who got a moth stuck in her ear and had to go to the ER.
2. I love Fall...and everything that comes with it! Scarves, sweaters, starbucks hazelnut steamers, soups, pumpkins, Halloween, thanksgiving and the food...even Harvest!
3. I have read the Lion, witch and wardrobe over ten times...it is my favorite. I own the chronicles but still need to make it through the series...
4. I have had stitches...in the same place...twice...seriously? How does that happen?
5. I love being a mother and a wife. There is truly nothing else in this world I would rather do. Of course they're are hard days but in the over all scheme of things it brings me joy beyond measure

Sick, Sick, Sick

Breckyn has had a few colds so a couple of weeks ago I was sure we were just battling another one. She had a runny nose and a slight caugh and then one morning I woke up to this...

It was one of the saddest things I had ever seen. Along with this she had a fever of 103. I had to put her straight in the bath and let the hot steam help wipe it off. We made a trip to the doctor that day and sure enough....a 10 out of 10 double ear infection, and sore through and one nasty kanker sore. I didn't even know babies could get kanker sores! Well we battle this for about a week and a half with an antibiotic and then on Saturday morning she had drainage out of her ear. I was freaked out and then it stopped and it was back on Sunday, so I called the clinic and the doctor on call was amazing!! She said she didn't want me to have to take her to urgent care so she met me at the clinic. One ear drum had ruptured, so we then started ear drops and a stronger antibiotic. I took her for her 9 month check up on Tuesday and the ear drum had closed back up so we didn't need them anymore and she is on mend! So now instead of the sad face above we get to enjoy this smile again that we hadn't seen in a while...

Little Breckyn is 9 months

These monthly marks just keep coming faster and faster. Before I know it this girl is going to be one year and that is just CRAZY! I can't believe how fast the time is going. We  took Breckyn to her 9 month check-up and everything is looking great! YAY! She is now 28" and weighs 19 lbs! She is average across the board. She has definitely become quite an active little girl. She tries her hardest to pull herself up. I know she is not far. SHe is still army crawling. She will get up on all fours and rock back and forth so again...we know it is close. Still no teeth for now...



Grain harvest is in full swing and that has consumed most of our time. We try to make it out to see Tanner every afternoon if possible since he has been leaving before she wakes up and gets home after she has gone to bed. Breckyn LOVES the combine. She is so amazed and everything that is going on around her and as you can tell is trying to steal her dad's job ;)

We love our Breckyn Fay! She is growing and changing everyday and is as happy as can be! We could not be any happier! Life is just great!
