Making a Mess!

If there is one thing that Breckyn is good at it is definitely making a mess, especially during meal time. Here are a few pictures to prove it...

Stake Conference Date NIght

We don't get a lot of dates in the summer due to fact that Tanner is spraying constantly. So when Stake Conference came around we took advantage of it. After the meeting we went with Lincoln and Stephanie to the new restaurant in American Falls called L & J's. Nice to get out when you get the chance :)

Anniversary Getaway

We've been married 4 years...What?? It seems like yesterday and yet at the same times forever. Only because now at this moment I can hardly remember what my life was like before Tanner and I can't imagine it without him. He is crazy and is always the life of the party. I am definitely not that way so we balance each other out great.
This year we got to getaway for the weekend to Island Park and West Yellowstone. It was weird not having to worry about Breckyn but she was in great hands with Grandma Dayna. On our way up we stopped and ate at Johnny Carinos. We ate there the night we got engaged and haven't been back much since. The budget gets you when you're married but it is one of our VERY favorites. We rented a few movies and just spent our first night relaxing at the cabin eating popcorn and lounging. We got to sleep in the next morning (forgot what that was like). We headed in for West Yellowstone for lunch and enjoyed lunch at Pete's Pizza ( my family's favorite and tradition spot in the little town). I had sworn that I had taken Tanner there before but he insisted that I never had. Good thing it lived up the hype because he loved it. We went through the Grizzly Bear and Wolf exhibit and it was awesome. I loved being able to see the animals without having to go into the park (I'm not a fan of driving around for hours looking for the animals). We saw 3 bears and I think 7 wolves. There was also another part that we got to see some birds that were there. They had owls and eagles. It was so heat.

After all of that fun we went to the Playmill Theater and saw Beauty and the Beast. We loved it! I actually loved West Yellowstone at the time. It was after Memorial Day, so the crowds were gone and it wasn't quite the time when schools were out for summer yet so still no crowds. My kind of getaway. It was so fun to be together and just focus on each other. I am so grateful for this great guy. He is an amazing dad and husband. It amazes me how more I love him today that I did 4 years ago.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day has definitely become a lot more dear to my heart the past few years. Breckyn is named after two very special people. I am so grateful we had this day to pause and remember. Aunt Breckyn is in our hearts and thoughts every day.

I have truly been feeling this way lately. There are definitely days when I ask myself over and over again...is nap/bed time. But overall this is the most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life. Breckyn is such a sweet spirit in our home. She brings so much joy into our lives. I love being a mom. It is the hardest and the most rewarding job all at the same time. I need to stop and remember the joy in it more often than I do.

 



Playing in the Playhouse

We are loving the warmer weather and Breckyn's favorite spot is the playhouse in the backyard. Another good thing about buying your parents house is that there are a few things that they didn't mind leaving behind. I love watching Breckyn play in this house because I have so many memories of playing in it myself.

Pears and Pedicures

I wanted to give it another go at painting Breckyn's toes again. The only way I could get her to stay till and was to keep her occupied in her high chair...while eating a pair...whatever works right :)
