All Moved In...FINALLY!

We finally got all moved in! Just in time for DYW to be starting and for Tanner's planting season to being. Yeah we aren't busy at all ;) Of course I didn't get any pictures. We are still settling in. I don't have any pictures on the wall, which is the saddest part for me. Hopefully I will be able to get to that soon.
We were actually able to get all of the moving done in just two trips. About a month ago I started organizing things and was writing room names on boxes, so when we moved we could just put them all in the rooms they went and I could get to them as I went from room to room. I had the office and other non essentials packed up so a couple of weeks ago Tanner's dad and our friend Travis Pincock came and took the whole basement over. That was a nice relief. So when it came down to the final day we were able to get everything moved over on a Friday night with the help of Tanner's parents and a couple guys from the farm.
It feels nice to be in a home that we know that we are going to be in for the rest of our lives. People keep asking me, "Is it weird living in the house you grew up in?" Of course its not. It's my home. You know the expression, "It feels like coming home." Well I have and it feels great! We did enough remodeling to truly make it feel our own and I think that is what helps a lot. I had so many great memories growing up in this home and it is so fun to think about my kids running around that same yard and adding to the memories. I had so many Christmas' in this home and I will continue to share that with my family as it grows. Something that is also kind of neat and funny. Tanner and I had our first kiss on the front steps of this house and he asked my dad if he could marry me in the office of this home. So for me I once again feel right at home, surrounded by memories of love and pure joy :) I can't wait to see what life continues to bring us!

Where did my baby go??

I snapped this picture on the way into church this morning and I could not get over how grown up she looked. Seriously where is the time going? She is growing up so much and is developing quite the little personality that constantly keeps us entertained! At her check up back in February she weighed 20 lbs. 12 oz. and was 30 1/4" tall. She definitely keeps us running around during church. Tanner and I haven't sat through a sacrament meeting in a long time. BUT nursery is right around the corner and we are counting down the weeks (6 to be exact)!

St. George Getaway

We were so excited to get away to St. George the end of February. It was our last vacation before planting, crazy summer/fall farming hours. We were lucky enough to have Devonee come with us. It was a lot of fun. We ate a lot of good food (probably too much), went to the hot tub at night, did some shopping and most of all relaxed.  I really wanted to go into Zion's and take a hike but that was going to cut into Tanner's relaxation ;) maybe next year. We will definitely be making this trip a yearly thing. For now we are looking forward to Thanksgiving with my family down in Dixie :)

Home Sweet Home

Our home will be ready the beginning of March and we are getting very excited! Although I am very excited for this new chapter and a new home, I do find myself kind of sad to leave our cute little white farm house. It has brought us some great memories. People keep asking me if I think it is weird that I am going to be living in the home I grew up in and I really don't feel that way. I have so many wonderful memories and I can't wait to share those memories and make so many more new ones with my family. Something that is kind of neat is that Tanner and I had our first kiss of the front door step  and he asked my dad if he could marry me in the office of this home. I think it is so neat to be surrounded by so many old memories and get to experience my kids growing up in the house and running around the yard that I played in. Here are some pictures of our homes progress...

Hit with the flu

We made it 15 months with our having Breckyn throw up. I know that there will be more nights like the one we just experienced but I hope they are not in the near future. Heather had come down with Grace and Riley. The night she got to mom's Grace started throwing up, so we kept our distance for a few days. Grace and Breckyn played together one day and that night we decided to go visit Rebecca and the kids. When we walked in the door the kids were really excited and there was a lot of screaming and yelling and I didn't realize that was going on at first. I felt something on me and I look at Breckyn(who I was holding) and she was throwing up on me. We hurried and got her in the bath and cleaned up. Oh and PS-she also threw up on Isaac's head...After I got myself clean and picked her up to head out the door she threw up again. And so began our long night. Tanner was helping at a wrestling tournament and the high school so I went back to mom's till her got home.
After we got her out of the bath we just wrapped her in a towel. She had thrown up 5 times at the point and was already eshausted. She pulled the towel over her face :(
We decided to make it a sleep over in the family room. Not a very fun one I might add. We laid down all of our blankets and we had lots of towels ready for any moment.
Throwing up 20 times in 12 hours will really wear you out :( poor thing!

January in a nutshell

January is quickly zooming by for us. Even though this is Tanner's slow time we feel like we have been runniing around like crazy.Mostly because we have been working on packing up the house and making sure we are ready for when we can move. Breckyn keeps us plenty busy all day long with all of her energy. Here are some pictures from the past month.
New Years Day celebrating Karl & Mychelle's birthdays. Tanner loves to show off his juggling skills
This is what happens when daddy dresses her
PLaying at Grandma Vollmer's - She thought it was just her size.
Her sweet smiles always brighten our day :)
Tanner got to go to a Jazz Game this month...lucky guy ;)

New Year-New You

I personally love the New Year. Not because it is a party but because I love the feeling of looking back on all of the memories of the past year. Even looking back on mistakes made and looking forward to the year in front of us. I love being able to make goals(although I need to do better at keeping them) and thinking of ways to improve my life. So...here is to the New Year and the chance we get to take inventory of our lives and make changes for the better. To improve ourselves and to begin the year with a fresh start. I have been thinking a lot about how I want to make the most of every day. I looked up some quotes on the new year. Here are a few of my favorites...

"Tomorrow, is the first blank page of a 365 book. Write a good one." Brad Paisley

"Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, Whispering 'it will be happier'..." Alfred Tennyson

HAPPY NEW YEAR
