Go Tigers!

I was able to help out with the AHS Cheerleaders this year. I loved you but it was a lot of work and I wasn't even the head coach! Needless to say I will miss it and the girls but I won't be returning next year. Cheerleading is an all year sport and it takes a lot of time and dedication! I really admire these girls (& 3 boys) for all of the hard work they put in. We went to state last weekend and they did awesome! They brought home three more trophies for that packed trophy case. A few of the mom's got together and did a lunch for the team on Thursday before we left Friday Morning. Breckyn and Brynlee are in there proudly sporting their "Future Cheerleader" outfits from the team :)The night before the competition the girls all went swimming in the hotel and I tried to get Breckyn to try her first swim out, but despite the smile on her face in this pictureit definitely was not a success. The girls got together that night and watch the past three years of video from state to help them get pumped up! Breckyn got in on the action as well. The team waiting for awards! What a great group of athletes! It was an awesome year! The ending is very bittersweet for me! I am proud to be an Aberdeen Tiger!

Happy 4 Months!

We cannot believe it,Seriously? Where is the time going? She is so much fun and lights up our lives. We don't know what we would do without her? Although we still remember what it was like to sleep in and sleep through the night :) Her sleeping habits were pretty good till we took her to California. Now she is messed up and is having a hard time getting back on track. She finally caught her first cold, but we feel pretty fortunate that she made it four months. She is still smiling and we can't get enough of it! We are so blessed to have such a happy girl! I took her to the doctor today and she weighs 15 lbs.(79%) and is 24 ins.(35%). We have a shorty but we're definitely not surprised :) She has a little chuckle but not quite a laugh yet. It definitely melts me heart when I hear it. We can't get enough of this precious girl and can you blame us? I mean look at her :)

Some facts about Breckyn at 4 months...

  • She loves to sit in her Bumbo or just sit up period.

  • Loves to talk to mom and dad

  • She loves to talk back to the people on TV while I fold laundry.

  • Loves to suck on her fingers.

  • She is trying so hard to roll over.

  • Still loving that binky!

  • Loves to play with her toys, expecially her keys. And won't stop putting them in her mouth :)

  • Loves to have her hands rubber has she falls asleep.

I am so blessed that I get to stay home with Breckyn every day. I love watching her change as she grows and develop. It is amazing to watch her discover the world around. Being a mother is the best! I would not trade it for anything.

Too Much Vacation?

Quick Vacation

Last week we were able to go on a quick vacation to Sacramento, California. Tanner's cousin Treg was getting married and Tanner was a groomsmen and we were glad that we had a reason to getaway for a few days! We left at midnight and drove through the night and I think it was the best because Breckyn slept the whole way. We (I) did a lot of shopping. Not even on myself. I think my new addictionis shopping for Breckyn. I am a sucker for Carter's clothing. I don't know what it is but I could spend forever in that store. We got to meet Jen's (Treg's now Wife) family the first night. They are such sweet people so welcoming and loving. We got to eat out at lots of great places. One of our favorite finds was a Mexican place called Sir Vesa's (So good!).
We got to tour the Jelly Belly factory. That was actually pretty neat. They had tons of pictures of Ronald Reagan made out of Jelly Bellys. Apparently he loved them and insisted that the White House have them stocked at all times. Right as we started the tour Breckyn had a HUGE blow out. I couldn't leave the tour so we just stripped her and wrapped her in a blanket. Which she was totally fine with. I wish I had a picture but we couldn't take pictures through the factory. On Friday night we sort of had a "bachelor" party for Treg. We went to this place called RPM that had this go-carts that go 50 mph. Tanner was in heaven as were the rest of the guys. I enjoyed watching with Breckyn :)

Saturday was the BIG DAY! I love the Sacramento Temple. The church placed it perfectly so that you can't see the city below it and it looks like it is the only thing around for miles. The ceremony was so beautiful. It made me cry. I think I cried more at this wedding than at my own, but I think it just made me sentimental about my own wedding and now I have begun to understand the ceremony a little more and it makes me so happy to see people choose to be sealed for time and eternity. The bride and groom looked amazing! Talk about a gorgeous couple! The reception was so much fun. There was a fun dance and they even had a photo booth there. Tanner, Breckyn and I had a lot of fun with that. The food was AMAZING! Devonee and I grade weddings because we've been to so many. I would definitely give this one an A++! The most tender moment of all...Jen is a beautiful singer and she recorded a song for their first dance and suprised Treg. You can just guess that it made me cry again. We love Jen and we are so excited to officially have her has part of our family! Treg could not have picked anyone better.

Happy Day of Love

I am so mad that I didn't get any pictures of Valentine's day at our house. We were pretty low key about it this year. Tanner had meetings and I was running around but we did find ways to make it special. Breckyn and I mad a sign for dad to let him know how much we love him. Tanner surprised me with a dozen roses, even though I tell him that they are too expensive and I would rather spend money on something else ;) For dinner we had pancakes but I they were pink pancakes. I had to do something special for Valentine's. We had our V-day date later in the week. We don't like going out that night because of the huge crowd. We went out on Friday and he finally let me pick the movie. We went to The Vow and I loved it. Tanner went kicking and screaming but when he found out it was based on a true story he decided that it wasn't so bad :) We also celebrated getting engaged 3 YEARS AGO! Crazy how time has flown and now we have a beautiful baby girl that we love so much!
